PUR Cleanser & Mist

Cleansers and refreshing mist with green tea, ginseng, and blue light protection

The cleansing step is the foundation of every skincare routine — but what "proper cleansing" exactly means depends on what your skin needs at that moment. Sensitive, dry skin requires a mild, soothing cleanser that respects the skin barrier. Oily, congested skin calls for a marine-formulated gel-to-foam that balances and refreshes. And skin with enlarged pores or blackheads in the T-zone needs a targeted detox with clay and charcoal.

The PUR Skincare Cleanser collection offers a thoughtful solution for each of these skin needs. What connects all the products: clean, vegan, cruelty-free, dermatologically tested, and formulated without more than 1,300 potentially harmful ingredients. Complemented with a refreshing Lit Mist as the final step to set skincare, hydrate, and protect against blue light from screens.

Why choose the PUR Skincare collection?

For over two decades, PUR has been developing formulas where each product not only fulfills its primary function but also actively cares for the skin. What distinguishes the Skincare collection is the combination of classic skincare actives (green tea, ginseng, niacinamide, glycerin, panthenol) with more recent innovations such as blue light protection via Butterfly Bush and niacinamide. Sulfate-free surfactants cleanse thoroughly without disrupting the skin barrier. Moreover, each product in this line is tailored to a specific skin need, allowing you to build your routine precisely based on what your skin requires at that moment.

How to build a complete cleansing routine with the PUR Skincare collection

1. Choose your daily cleanser in the evening based on your skin type: Forever Clean for dry or sensitive skin, Sea Fresh for normal to oily skin
2. Add the Joystick two to three times a week as a targeted detox step, to unclog pores and gently exfoliate
3. In the morning: use the same daily cleanser or just lukewarm water if you have very dry or sensitive skin
4. Always follow cleansing immediately with your serum and moisturizer while the skin is still slightly damp for optimal absorption
5. Finish your makeup routine with a few spritzes of Lit Mist from 20 to 30 centimeters away, for hydration, a dewy glow, and blue light protection throughout the day

Frequently Asked Questions

Which PUR cleanser suits my skin best?

For dry, tight, or sensitive skin that dries out quickly, Forever Clean is the most suitable choice. For skin that shines during the day, has enlarged pores, or appears combination, Sea Fresh is usually the logical option. If you’re unsure between the two, Forever Clean is a safe bet — it works on almost every skin type without drying out.

Can I alternate multiple PUR cleansers in my routine?

Yes, and for many skin types, that is even ideal. A common combination: use Forever Clean or Sea Fresh daily as your regular cleanser, and add the Joystick two to three times a week as a targeted detox treatment or purifying mask. This way, you combine daily gentle cleansing with regular deep unclogging without overloading the skin barrier.

Is it normal for my skin to feel tight after cleansing?

No. A good cleanser removes dirt, sebum, and makeup without leaving a tight, dry feeling. A tight sensation after washing is a sign that the skin barrier has been compromised — often due to harsh surfactants (sulfates) or water that is too hot. The sulfate-free formulas of Forever Clean and Sea Fresh are specifically developed to prevent this effect. Always rinse with lukewarm water, not hot.

What is blue light and how do these products protect against it?

Blue light is the high-energy visible light we receive daily from computer, phone, and tablet screens. Scientific research shows that blue light can cause oxidative stress and pigment irregularities — an increasingly relevant factor for modern skin. Both Forever Clean (via Butterfly Bush extract) and Lit Mist (via niacinamide, green tea, and vitamin E) are formulated to protect the skin against this.

Does Lit Mist replace my moisturizer?

No. Lit Mist is a hydrating refreshing spray and setting spray, not a full moisturizer. It provides immediate hydration and antioxidants, but the skin still needs a cream to retain moisture throughout the day. Use Lit Mist as a complement to your moisturizer — not as a replacement.
