Thank Me Later Natural Lip Balm

Vegan lip balm with SPF25 and plant-based oils

The lips are among the thinnest and most vulnerable skin on the body. They lack their own sebaceous glands and are especially sensitive to dryness, cold, and UV radiation — yet lip skin is almost always forgotten in a daily SPF routine. The result: pigmentation spots around the mouth, fine lines, and cracks become visible there first.

Thank Me Later builds its lip balm line around one principle: daily protection with SPF25 based on mineral zinc oxide, combined with nourishing plant-based oils such as coconut, castor, and apricot kernel. All three variants are completely vegan, pH-neutral, and 98% natural in origin. The difference lies in scent, texture, and usage moment — so there is a suitable choice for every preference and season.

Why choose a lip balm with SPF25?

UV radiation is one of the main causes of premature aging around the mouth, alongside dryness itself. A daily lip balm with SPF25 based on zinc oxide offers broad UVA/UVB protection and prevents the lip skin from drying out under direct sunlight — two functions in one step. The mineral filter works immediately upon application and is photostable, making it suitable for longer outdoor stays. By choosing a vegan formula with plant-based waxes instead of beeswax, the balm remains lightweight and fits into a broader skincare principle where the entire body skin — including lips — receives the same attention as the face.

Find your ideal Thank Me Later Natural Lip Balm

For classic daily use in every season: the Rosewater variant has a soft floral, non-sweet rose scent and suits those who want to integrate SPF as a natural part of their daily routine. Suitable under lipstick and comfortable year-round.

For very dry and cracked lips, and for those who prefer to avoid perfume: the Coconut variant is the richest choice in the line. This formula uses aroma instead of perfume, making it more pleasant for those sensitive to classic fragrances. Ideal as a night and recovery balm and for winter use.

For fresh summer days with a subtle light tint: the Mint Cucumber variant has a lively mint-cucumber scent and a light natural tint that subtly brightens the lips. Suitable for those who like a fresh character and want to give the lips a bit more life without full lipstick.

How to use Thank Me Later Natural Lip Balm?

1. Determine which variant suits your preference and usage moment — use the above classification as a guide
2. Apply the balm to clean lips, if desired after your skincare routine and possibly before lipstick
3. Apply generously — a too-thin layer reduces the actual SPF protection
4. Always apply beyond the lip edges — pigmentation spots and fine lines often appear just outside the line
5. Reapply at least every two hours during direct sun exposure
6. Also reapply after eating, drinking, or wiping the mouth — these actions remove the SPF layer

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the three variants of Thank Me Later Natural Lip Balm?

The UV protection and nourishing oils are identical in all three variants — SPF25 zinc oxide, coconut oil, castor oil, and apricot kernel oil as the base. The difference lies in scent, texture, and additional details: Rosewater is classic with perfume, Coconut is the richest with aroma instead of perfume, and Mint Cucumber has a light natural tint.

Is SPF25 on the lips sufficient?

For daily use in the Dutch and Belgian climate, SPF25 offers ample protection, provided it is reapplied regularly. During winter sports, beach vacations, or prolonged sun exposure, reapplying every two hours is truly essential — the same principle applies to the lips as to the facial skin.

Why choose a vegan lip balm instead of a traditional one with beeswax?

Vegan lip balms like this use candelilla wax and rice bran wax as plant-based replacements for beeswax. Besides the ethical argument, these waxes provide a lighter feel with more shine and are suitable for those who do not tolerate beeswax well or consciously choose a fully plant-based routine.

Can I combine this lip balm with lipstick or lip gloss?

Yes. Apply the balm and allow it one to two minutes to absorb before applying lipstick. The zinc oxide layer can cause a slightly matte finish with some lipsticks — preferably test with your own lipstick. The Mint Cucumber variant with a light tint can also be worn on its own under a transparent lip gloss.
