Youngblood Primer

Nourishing, color-correcting, and eye primers for long-lasting makeup

A good primer determines how the rest of your makeup looks and how long it stays beautiful. Youngblood has been developing primers for years that not only work cosmetically but also deliver nourishing ingredients to the skin. This combination of makeup preparation and skincare is exactly what makes the Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics primer collection so beloved by skin therapists and makeup professionals.

The collection consists of three face primers and one specific eye primer, each designed for a different purpose: hydrating, color correcting, adding warmth, or keeping eyeshadow crease-free. This way, you build a base that matches your skin type, skin tone, and daily makeup routine.

Why choose a Youngblood primer?

While a classic primer often just lays a silicone film on the skin, every Youngblood primer combines that smoothing effect with skincare components like jojoba oil, vitamin E, peptides, and mineral complexes. The result is a base that not only keeps foundation smoother and longer-lasting but also nourishes and protects the skin.

Most Youngblood primer reviews report the same impression: a silky texture, foundation that noticeably stays flawless longer, and skin that doesn’t feel dry or irritated after removal. Also, recurring Youngblood mineral primer reviews mention the mild, non-comedogenic formula as a reason why even sensitive skin tolerates the primer well.

Find your ideal primer

Which primer suits you depends on what your skin needs and the makeup effect you want. Below is a brief explanation per product to help you choose purposefully.

Youngblood Mineral Primer 28.5 ml: The colorless base primer suitable for all skin types. Enriched with jojoba oil, vitamins A and E, and a signature mineral complex. Ideal as a nourishing base for foundation, especially good for mature and dry skin.

Youngblood Complexion Correcting Primer Bare 20ml: A lightly tinted, color-correcting primer for light to light-medium skin tones. The neutral nude tint softens redness and unevenness, while peptides support skin firmness.

Youngblood Complexion Correcting Primer Tan 20ml: The warm variant of the correcting primer with a subtle bronzing effect. Perfect for medium to light-dark skin tones, or as a sunkissed boost for tired or dull complexions.

Youngblood Stay Put Eye Prime 2 g: The specific eye primer that keeps eyeshadow and eyeliner in place all day. Neutralizes the natural discoloration of the eyelid and intensifies pigment. Also great as a base around the lips to prevent lipstick from bleeding.

How to use a primer?

The order in which you apply a Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics primer determines how well it works. Follow this routine for the best result.

1. Cleanse your face and apply your usual serum and day cream; let the skincare fully absorb
2. Apply the Youngblood Mineral Primer as a nourishing base layer over the entire face and neck
3. Where desired, blend in a color-correcting layer with the Complexion Correcting Primer Bare to neutralize redness, or with the Complexion Correcting Primer Tan for a warm sunkissed look
4. Apply a small amount of Stay Put Eye Primer on the eyelid as a base for eyeshadow and eyeliner
5. Then apply foundation, concealer, and other makeup as usual
6. Always finish your morning routine with sun protection as the last step

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a regular primer and the Youngblood correcting primer Bare or Tan?

A regular primer focuses only on texture and longevity. The correcting primer adds a light color correction: the Youngblood primer Bare neutralizes redness for light to medium skin, and the Youngblood primer Tan adds warmth and bronzing for medium to dark skin. Peptides also provide a nourishing layer under your foundation.

Can I combine multiple Youngblood primers in one routine?

Yes, that is actually the intention of the collection. The base starts with the Youngblood mineral primer for hydration, followed by the color-correcting variant and the eye primer. Most Youngblood primer reviews mention this layering as the strongest point — you build the base step by step without it feeling heavy or cakey.

Are Youngblood primers suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. All primers in the range are fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and cruelty-free. Average Youngblood mineral primer reviews often cite the mild formula as a reason why even sensitive skin and skin with minor blemishes tolerate the products well. If in doubt, it is advised to test a small area first.

Which primer works best for oily or combination skin?

The Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Complexion Correcting Primer Bare and Tan are specially formulated for normal, combination, and oily skin thanks to their soft-matte finish that controls shine. The classic Youngblood Mineral Primer is more universal and also works well if applied in a thin layer.

What do Youngblood primer reviews say about makeup longevity?

The common theme in most Youngblood mineral primer reviews and customer experiences is that foundation noticeably stays flawless longer, even on warm days. The Youngblood Stay Put Eye Prime also scores high for crease-free eyeshadow all day, even on oily eyelids or mature eye contours.

Can I wear the primer alone without foundation?

Definitely. You can wear the Youngblood Mineral Primer alone for a cared-for, smooth complexion. The Complexion Correcting Primer Bare gives a natural freshness, and the Complexion Correcting Primer Tan a subtle sunkissed glow. You can also wear the Stay Put Eye Prime alone to neutralize discoloration on the eyelid.
