Clay mask with salicylic acid and kaolin for blemished skin
The combination of blemished skin and drying clay masks is a well-known dilemma. Classic acne masks absorb excess sebum but leave the skin tight, red, and often more sensitive afterward. The result: the skin barrier weakens and the original problem keeps recurring.
The DermaQuest DermaClear Mask is formulated differently. Kaolin clay purifies pores and absorbs excess sebum, while 2% salicylic acid and niacinamide calm inflammation. Hyaluronic acid, allantoin, and plant stem cells maintain hydration during application — the mask deeply purifies without drying out.
Benefits
- Deeply cleanses pores with kaolin clay and 2% salicylic acid
- Reduces redness and visible inflammation around pimples
- Niacinamide fades post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation after acne
- Maintains hydration thanks to hyaluronic acid and allantoin
- Suitable as a weekly intensive treatment against blemishes
Active ingredients
Salicylic acid (2%): A beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that is fat-soluble and penetrates deep into the pore. During the mask's application time, salicylic acid loosens dead skin cells and sebum, reduces inflammation, and supports the clay's action. It targets both active blemishes and the cause of blackheads.
Kaolin clay: A fine, soft white clay that absorbs excess sebum without aggressively drying out the skin. Kaolin is suitable for sensitive, acne-prone skin because it is milder than other clays like bentonite, while still effectively cleansing pores.
Niacinamide (vitamin B3): Has anti-inflammatory effects and reduces visible redness and swelling around pimples. Additionally, niacinamide inhibits the transfer of melanin to skin cells, which helps prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation after acne and fades existing spots.
Allantoin & willow bark extract: Both ingredients soothe irritated skin and accelerate the healing process. Willow bark naturally contains salicylates that support the action of salicylic acid, allantoin softens and stimulates cell renewal.
Lilac & orange stem cells: Plant stem cells regulate sebum production and refine the visibility of enlarged pores. They give the mask an improving effect on skin texture, visible with regular use over several weeks.

Frequently asked questions
How often can I use this mask?
Once or twice a week is ideal for most skin types. For very oily skin or acute breakouts, this can be increased to three times a week, provided the skin tolerates it well. More often is not recommended, even though the mask does not dry out.
Can I combine the mask with other active products on the same evening?
Not recommended. Do not use retinol, glycolic acid, or other acids on the evening of the mask. Follow up with a soothing and hydrating serum, followed by a moisturizer.
Does the skin feel tight after the mask?
No, you should not. Thanks to hyaluronic acid and allantoin, the skin retains its moisture. If the skin still feels tight after rinsing, immediately apply a hydrating serum and moisturizer and reduce the application time to five minutes next time.
Can I use this mask during pregnancy?
Salicylic acid in this concentration is usually not recommended during pregnancy. Always consult your skin therapist or doctor before using this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
