Jane Iredale Detail Brush

Description
Small tapered detail brush for precise makeup in small areas
In every makeup routine, there are areas that leave no room for a standard brush. The inner eye corner, the sides of the nose, the area around the mouth — too narrow for a regular eye brush, too precise for a complexion brush. Without the right detail tool, these spots remain under-highlighted or get covered with too much product.
The jane iredale Detail Brush is designed specifically for those areas. The small, tapered tip applies eyeshadow, shimmer, setting powder, or highlighter to the most difficult-to-reach spots on the face — from the inner eye corner and tear duct to the bridge of the nose and corners of the mouth. The star-shaped multilayer fibers pick up product evenly with minimal fallout, so pigment lands exactly where desired. With small back-and-forth or circular motions, the color blends seamlessly.
Suitable for use with:
- PureMatte® Finish Powder
- PurePressed® Eye Shadow
- PurePressed® Eye Shadow Triple
- 24-Karat Gold Dust Shimmer Powder

Brush quality & construction
Small, tapered tip: The narrowly tapered tip allows access to areas where no other brush fits comfortably — the inner corner of the eye, the tear duct, the sides of the nose, and the corners of the mouth. The small size gives maximum control over the amount of product and exact placement, without touching the surrounding skin or makeup.
Star-shaped multilayer fibers: The fibers of the Detail Brush are star-shaped in cross-section — the same technology as the Cheek Brush, but on a miniature scale for precision work. This cross-section provides more even color pickup than round fibers and reduces fallout, which is essential when applying to small areas where any excess is immediately visible.
Versatile application: The Detail Brush works equally well for powder eyeshadow, shimmer, and setting powder. The tapered tip is also ideal for highlighter and 24-Karat Gold Dust Shimmer Powder on the bridge of the nose and in the inner corner of the eye — two areas that instantly add more dimension and light to a look.
Vegan synthetic fibers: Completely vegan and cruelty-free, with a softness suitable for the sensitive skin around the eyes, nose, and mouth.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I use the Detail Brush for versus the Crease Brush?
The Detail Brush is the smallest and most tapered brush in the range, designed for very small areas such as the inner corner of the eye, the bridge of the nose, and the mouth area. The Crease Brush has a rounded, slightly larger tip specifically designed for blending in the crease — the hollow above the eyelid — to add depth and dimension.
How do I apply highlighter to the inner corner of the eye?
Pick up a small amount of light eyeshadow or 24-Karat Gold Dust Shimmer Powder on the tip of the brush. Gently press the product with light tapping motions into the inner corner of the eye, just above the tear duct. This visibly opens up the gaze and gives a fresh, brightening effect to the eye — a small step with a big visible result.
Can I also use the Detail Brush for setting powder?
Yes. The tapered tip with star-shaped fibers is also suitable for precisely applying setting powder or PureMatte® Finish Powder on small areas — corners of the mouth, sides of the nose, or the skin around the eye area — where a large powder brush would be too imprecise.
