Description
Regenerating essential orange oil for radiant skin and a cheerful aroma
Sweet orange has one of the happiest and most direct aroma profiles in aromatherapy — warm, fruity, and immediately mood-lifting. But it is more than just a pleasant scent. The active ingredients in orange peel oil also work on the skin: they stimulate cell renewal, support collagen production, and give the skin a more radiant, smoother appearance with regular diluted use.
Massada Orange Essential Oil is a pure Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Oil, cold-pressed from the peel of the sweet orange. The oil combines a warm citrus scent with a regenerative and mildly exfoliating effect on the skin. In a diffuser, it creates an inviting, positive atmosphere. Diluted in a carrier oil or added to a skincare product, it supports the renewal of the skin structure.

Active ingredients
Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Oil (sweet orange peel oil): Cold-pressed essential oil from the peel of the sweet orange, dominated by limonene. Limonene has a proven regenerative effect on skin cells and supports the shedding of aged cells on the skin surface — similar to a mild biochemical exfoliant. Additionally, limonene stimulates the production of type I collagen, which makes the skin firmer and smoother over time. The rich scent profile — warm, fruity, and full — positively affects the limbic system through the sense of smell and contributes to a clear and energetic feeling.
Limonene: The dominant monoterpene in orange peel oil, responsible for both the characteristic citrus scent and the active effect on the skin. Limonene has antioxidant and mild antimicrobial properties, protects the skin from environmental influences, and supports the skin’s self-repair ability.
Linalool: A floral aromatic alcohol that complements the warm, rounded scent profile of orange oil with a soft floral note. Linalool also has a mild calming effect, making the oil suitable for use in the evening as a relaxing aromatic experience.
Citral: Enhances the citrus note of the oil with a sharp, bright tone and has mild antimicrobial properties. Citral is a recognized fragrance allergen — people with known citrus sensitivity should take this into account.
Geraniol & Citronellol: Supporting aromatic alcohols that complete and deepen the scent profile. Geraniol adds a light rosy, floral accent; citronellol gives a soft, fresh undertone. Both are recognized fragrance allergens and are listed on cosmetic labels in accordance with EU regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is orange oil also phototoxic like lemon oil?
Sweet orange peel oil (Citrus Aurantium Dulcis) has a significantly lower phototoxic risk than lemon or bergamot oil because the furocoumarin content is much lower. Still, caution is advised with intensive skin use combined with direct sunlight — preferably apply the oil in the evening or ensure the skin is not directly exposed to UV after application.
What is the difference in effect between Orange and Lemon Essential Oil?
Both oils contain limonene as the main component, but the profile differs. Lemon peel oil is sharper, brighter, and has a higher phototoxic risk. Orange oil is warmer, fuller in scent, and milder in profile. On the skin, orange oil has a more pronounced regenerating and mild exfoliating effect; lemon oil is more toning and brightening.
Can I add this oil daily to my body lotion?
This is possible when used in the evening or when the skin is not directly exposed to sunlight. Do not add more than 1 drop per portion of lotion and mix well. Daily use during the day requires caution — preferably use in a diffuser.
