Jane Iredale Amazing Base Mineral Powder SPF20 Satin 10,5g

Mineral powder foundation SPF20 for a light-medium skin tone

There is a kind of beauty that only becomes noticeable when you wonder why someone looks so good — not because there is something to see, but precisely because there is nothing to see. For a light-medium skin tone with neutral undertones, that is exactly the standard: skin that looks cared for, even, and like itself, without foundation drawing attention. Yet few formulas manage to deliver that result without revealing their presence on the skin.

The Jane Iredale Amazing Base Satin meets that expectation with a micronized mineral formula that seamlessly blends into a light-medium skin tone and gives it a silky, polished finish without taking away from the natural complexion. From a sheer daily evenness to full, cared-for coverage for special moments — the Jane Iredale Amazing Base Satin always delivers a result that looks effortless and flawless, complemented by broad-spectrum SPF20 protection.

Color: A light-medium shade with neutral, subtly warm undertones that give the skin a silky, refined glow.

Benefits

• Silky second-skin finish that makes the skin look cared for without visible foundation
• Broad-spectrum SPF20 protection with titanium dioxide (14%) and zinc oxide (6%)
• Soft focus effect diffuses light evenly for a flawless, refined skin surface
• Adjustable coverage from sheer-light to fully evening in one product
• Water-resistant for up to 40 minutes, vegan, oil-free, and free from synthetic filters

Active ingredients

Titanium Dioxide (14%): On a light-medium skin tone with neutral undertones, titanium dioxide acts as an invisible refiner that visually brightens the complexion without tinting it. The broad UVA and UVB protection is completely transparent on the skin and leaves the natural color balance of the Satin shade fully intact.

Zinc Oxide (6%): Provides additional broad-spectrum protection and soothes the skin in case of sensitivity or uneven skin tone. On a neutral light-medium skin tone where even slight color differences stand out, zinc oxide actively neutralizes without disturbing the balanced undertone.

Boron Nitride: The key ingredient behind the signature silky quality of this shade. Boron Nitride evens out the skin surface and diffuses incoming light evenly — resulting in a finish that feels like satin and looks just as refined.

Algae extract: Actively hydrates and soothes the skin while the powder is worn, for a comfortable finish that feels smooth and vibrant all day. Well-hydrated skin shows the silky quality of this shade best.

Pomegranate extract (Punica Granatum): Actively protects the skin structure against UV-related oxidative damage. A smooth, even skin texture is the quiet foundation behind a polished, satin-like appearance — pomegranate extract guards that texture long term.

Plankton extract: Strengthens the skin barrier and increases the skin’s resilience against daily environmental influences. A strong, healthy barrier is the foundation behind skin that looks cared for and even all day long.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Satin and Natural in the Jane Iredale Amazing Base line?

Natural has a purely neutral undertone aimed at a transparent, invisible color match. Satin has subtly warmer undertones and a silky quality that gives the skin a lightly polished glow. When in doubt, Jane Iredale offers a 100% color guarantee.

Does Satin give a matte or a luminous finish?

Satin gives a satin finish — not matte, not shiny, but a subtle even glow that makes the skin look healthy and cared for. The Boron Nitride in the formula is responsible for this effect: it diffuses light evenly and gives the skin a three-dimensional quality without shine.

Can I also touch up the Jane Iredale Amazing Base Satin during the day?

Yes. The lightweight mineral formula is perfect for touch-ups on the go. Tap a small amount of powder onto the skin for a fresh, polished finish that doesn’t cake or feel mask-like — even after multiple applications throughout the day.
