The precision doe-foot applicator makes both targeted spot application (on pimples, pigmentation spots, around the nostrils) and broader coverage on larger areas easy. Frequently Asked Questions
What does the N in 4N mean?
The N stands for neutral undertone, as opposed to W for warm. Unsure about your undertone? Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. If they appear more blue or purple, you have a cool/neutral undertone and an N shade suits you. If they look green, you have a warm or olive undertone and a W shade is better. When in doubt, the N shade is usually the safest choice — neutral undertones work naturally in almost all situations.
How do I choose between Jane Iredale PureMatch 4N and 2N or 5W?
4N is clearly darker than 2N (fair with a neutral undertone) and has the same neutral undertone. Compared to 5W, 4N is almost as light, but 5W has a warm-golden undertone while 4N is neutral. Choose 4N if your light skin does not have a pronounced golden or rosy glow.
Can I use Jane Iredale PureMatch 4N under the eyes as well?
Yes. Unlike the color-correcting concealers (Enlighten, Circle Delete), PureMatch is an all-over concealer suitable for the entire face. For dark circles with a strong blue undertone, a color-correcting concealer (such as Circle Delete 2 or Enlighten Concealer 1) can be applied first, followed by PureMatch 4N for a matching finish.
Does PureMatch contain SPF?
No, PureMatch Liquid Concealer does not contain SPF. For UV protection, Jane Iredale recommends finishing with Powder-Me SPF or an SPF foundation, or wearing a separate sunscreen.
Is the concealer vegan?
Yes, PureMatch Liquid Concealer is completely vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. Unlike the Enlighten Concealer and Circle Delete, this formula contains no beeswax.
